M+ works with the .EPS files ONLY, even though some agencies support .AI and .CDR. Currently, the Adobe Illustrator 10 EPS version is considered the standard, but some agencies do not support .EPS files above Adobe Illustrator 8. EPS8 is considered an outdated format, and you should keep in mind that many modern effects (such as transparency and shadows) get rasterized in it.
